EA Mattes PM Correction Half Pad with Rear Trim
Mattes PM System Correction Half Pad with Shims and Rear Trimwas developed in conjunction with Peter Menet, designer of Amerigo Saddles and Vespucci strap goods. The PM System Half Pads are designed with a button hole on each side that goes completely through the pad instead of the traditional billet straps. This design feature allows the billet straps of a Mattes Quilt-Only or Light Flannel Pad to be fed through the button hole to make the two pads into one unit.
The PM Correction Half Pads feature the Correction System, a design that can enhance saddle fit and help maintain saddle balance and straightness.
Please note that no pad on the market can make a poorly fitting saddle fit totally right. The Correction System can improve saddle fit on horses who may change form throughout competition season, have physical asymmetries or other similar situations.
- Uses Poly-Flex Shims that are slipped into the pockets on the saddle pad to allow for adjustments to be easily made.
- Poly-Flex material absorbs energy to eliminate bounce and is very Resilient and Won't Bottom Out like foam or other materials.
- Shims are 5 millimeters thick and designed to be layered, are easily trimmed with scissors to taper the ends and create pressure-free fit.
- Dressage Style is Straight in the front to correctly follow a dressage saddle shape.Unsurpassed quality, function, durability and appearance makes E.A. Mattes the World's Leading Sheepskin Brand!
- All Mattes products are made from 100% natural sheepskin. The properties of natural sheepskin include heat dissemination and breathability, as well as the capability to eliminate friction and bounce. This can not be imitated by wool pile, artificial fiber products, or foam.
- All of Mattes sheepskin pads follow the contours of the horse's back with no sharp edges.
- The patented Spine Free DesignTM, and anatomically correct top line provide unbeatable protection. The spine is not in contact with any seams, fabric, or tension giving your horse ultimate comfort.
- Mattes sheepskin should be dried thoroughly after each ride or at the end of each day. Let it air dry overnight, upside down and brush the wool with a stiff brush to loosen up and remove dirt and hair.
- Mattes special detergent, MELP, is highly concentrated and designed for sheepskin products. Regular detergents can easily harden the leather and can render the wool brittle or matted. Machine washable on gentle cycle in cold water. Air fluff in dryer with no heat. Do not dry completely, while still damp gently pull into shape. Lay flat to finish drying.
- Do not expose to sun or dry on a radiator. Do not use chlorine bleach!
