Herm Sprenger 2-Type Turnado Snaffle Bit
The Herm Sprenger Turnado 2-Type Single Jointed Snaffle provides the soft feel of a loose ring while eliminating pinching at the corners of the mouth. Horses readily accept the anatomical shape of the bit. The combination of the eggbutt shaped corners and the flexible loose rings ensure extremely gentle pressure on the horse's mouth resulting in less force exerted by the rider's hand and greater acceptance of the bit.
Turnado bits have a mouthpiece that is rotated so the center joint moves forward in the horse's mouth instead of up into the palate. This limits the nutcracker effect common with traditional single jointed snaffles. Paired with the 2 Type Cheeks, this bit is much more comfortable for the horse than a regular loose ring snaffle.
The Turnado Bit is made with a Sensogan mouthpiece. Sensogan metal is an improvement on Sprenger's patented aurigan metal. Sensogan has a reduced copper content as well as added manganese which helps to regulate the oxidation of the bit metal making the taste even more pleasant for the horse. The reduction of copper discharge into the horse's saliva also helps to keep the white gold color of the sensogan bit brilliant for a longer time.
- Sensogan has improved the properties of aurigan by regulating the oxidative process
- The bits taste good to the horse and encourage salivation and bit acceptance
- White gold color has an elegant look
- Sensogan does not tarnish easily
- Sensogan with stainless steel rings
- 70mm rings
