Myo-Guard has been developed to support your horse's muscle function during training and competition for optimal performance. With a healthy blend of antioxidants, Myo-Guard not only supports your horse during vigorous exercise, it also helps him to recover quickly after work and leaves him less likely to develop muscle disorders.

The Antioxidants in Myo Guard protect cells from oxidation. Oxidation is a metabolic process in which oxygen is used to turn carbohydrates, fats and proteins into energy. This is necessary for sustained muscle function, especially during endurance activities. Unfortunately, a byproduct of oxidation is the formation of free radicals which are compounds that damage cells and tissues. Also known as oxidative stress, this damage to the cells can lead to soreness, stiffness and delayed recovery. Horses at rest usually have an adequate supply of antioxidants to take care of the limited free radicals in their body. Horses in intense work will need a supplemental form of antioxidants to fight the increased free radicals produced. Myo-Guard contains a unique blend of antioxidants including vitamin E, selenium and vitamin C to provide your horse the support he needs to perform at his best.

Ingredients:

Vitamin E: unique among vitamins, vitamin E is not required for a specific metabolic function but instead appears to be the body's most important fat soluble antioxidant. Vitamin E Supports healthy cell membranes by reducing free radical damage. Myo-Guard contains 1000IU of natural vitamin E per ounce.

Vitamin C: supports healthy tissues by scavenging oxygen radicals from aqueous solutions. Myo Guard provides 1500mg of vitamin C per ounce.

Selenium: required for the production of glutathione peroxidase, and enzyme that neutralizes peroxides so they can no longer damage muscle cell integrity. 1 mg of selenium per ounce.

Magnesium: supports proper muscle and nerve function. During exercise, magnesium is lost in sweat. Much of the body's magnesium is stored in the skeleton and transfer from bone to bloodstream is not efficient enough for rapid replacement of magnesium lost through heavy sweating. Myo-Guard supplies 3000 mg of magnesium per ounce.

Recommended dose: 1 ounce daily
