The Korsteel Single Twisted Wire Loose Ring Snaffle Bit is a top quality stainless steel bit with a tightly wired mouthpiece. The single jointed mouthpiece works by applying pressure to the bars, lips and sides of the tongue. As pressure is applied to the bit, the center joint collapses forward causing the bit to tighten in the horse's mouth and sometimes to contact the roof of the mouth. This bit has an extremely strong mouthpiece and can be counterproductive if not necessary. While this bit can be a useful tool when used correctly, it can be too abrasive and possibly harmful if used incorrectly.
