The new ThinLine English Trim to Fit shims are made of the same shock absorbing, comfort foam that is found in their saddle pads. These shims help create the perfect fit, protect your horses back and improves horse and rider comfort.
Trim to Fit Shims are fully customizable to create the perfect and cost effective shim for your needs. With these shims you can make front, center, rear or full shims to meet your needs.
Note: Trim to Fit Shims are unique to every pad, so shape and appearance of shim may vary from picture to fit your specific pad.
ThinLine has updated their styles as of 2020. The new Trim to Fit shims are are compatible with pads made & purchased Fall 2019 and later.
Note: If you are purchasing shims for an older model ThinLine pad, please refer to the shims related to your pad style. Trim to Fit shims are not compatible with older style ThinLine pads.
You only need a pair of scissors or a box blade to trim to fit. All shims come with a scoring guide for you to create front, bridging or rear shims.
The trim to fit full shim is the most economical way to always have what you need for every horse. If you only need to shim in one area, cut them to lay exactly where you need them in the open pocket of a ThinLine pad. The remainder can be used to add additional height by stacking several trimmed pieces on top of each other. As your horse grows and changes you now have several sets of shims for fine-tuning saddle fit. Or, boost your overall ThinLine protection and comfort by using the full shim. The most cost-effective and versatile way to shim your pad!

Most of our items have a 60-day, no hassle return policy - provided the item is in new condition and has all packaging and tags.
Items meeting our return criteria are refunded within 5 to 10 days to the orginal payment method.

Free Shipping Policy:
Orders of 100 or more
Most orders over $100 ship FREE to Continental US when you ship to a physical address (no PO boxes). When you choose free shipping, we usually ship via FedEx Ground or USPS Priority Mail. Exclusions to our free shipping policy include:
- Oversize items
- Manufacturer's closeouts
- Flash sale items
- Tent Sale Items
- Heavy items
- Shipments of larger items to PO boxes
Orders under $100 and Oversized Items
After entering your shipping address, the website will give you a shipping cost for various shipping methods. You can pick the method that best suits your needs.
Shipping Times
Items stocked in our warehouse in Maine usually ship within 1-business day. These items will be indicated by an "In Stock" designation after you select your item. Items stocked at manufactuer's warehouses (designated by a stock status of "Ships in x-y days), may have a delay in shipping as we have to add their processing times to the shipping estimate. Once shipped, items are delivered in 1 to 5 days:
- New England customers typically receive their orders in 1-2 days
- West Coast customers typically receive their items in 4 to 5 business days.
- Mid-atlantic typically receive their orders in 2 to 3 days.
