Grazing Muzzles are recommended by equine health professionals to prevent, as well as treat Laminitis, founder, and obesity.

The small opening in the bottom allows horses a limited amount of grass, yet unlimited water. Rather than being restricted to a non-grass environment to control intake, horses are free to exercise and socialize as part of the herd. The lightweight muzzles resist rubbing and chafing and will not rot.

Best Friend Grazing Muzzles can also be used as a training tool to discourage bad habits such as nipping and cribbing.

The muzzles are entirely synthetic, and therefore rot-free and easily cleaned. To clean, simply hose off and/or brush off dirt and swish in a bucket of water. Let air dry.

Each muzzle is packaged in a vinyl bag that is reusable as a grooming tote.

  • Limits grazing, not drinking
  • Comes with integrated halter
  • Four-point breakaway system
  • Padded noseband
  • Nylon/rubber construction
  • Resistant to rot and mildew
  • Easy to clean

Mini through draft sizing!

Purchased this for my mini ...

Purchased this for my mini and am absolutely thrilled with it! I finally have a grazing muzzle that fits her perfectly! This is the third brand I have purchased and, happily, I will not need to look any further. She seems content wearing it and there are many different ways to tweak the fit should you need to. I recommend the Best Friend Grazing Muzzle! Thanks

The horse this is on is resigned to eating less so no trouble with him scraping it off. Be sure to not get too small a one - he wears a cob bridle, 5" bit but I got him the "horse" size. Last year's muzzle I enlarged the hole a little bit and the hole is getting larger. Having 2 sized holes is good; but I do not leave him in the new one (smaller hole) for more than 12 hours.
