Centaur Stainless Slow Twist Eggbutt Full Cheek

The Centaur Slow Twisted Eggbutt Full Cheek has a slow twist mouthpiece paired with full cheek pieces to provide more precise control and to aid in turning of stronger horses.

Slow twist bits have a "sharp" edge that wraps around the moutpiece. This edge creates a more focused pressure point in the mouth. In skilled hands, this can create a faster response to bit pressure to aid in training or to provide extra control.

Full Cheek pieces work to stabilize the bit in the horse's mouth (when properly used with bit keepers) for a more consistent contact. The long cheeks also aid in turning as they apply pressure to the cheek when the bit is pulled and prevent the bit pulling through the horse's mouth.

This bit is a tool for riders with good, educated hands. We recommend that bit keepers be used with all full cheek bits.
