If you’re like us, you’ve been watching out the window for the delivery driver since you hit the submit button on your order. You can’t wait to get that box and try out all your new goodies! We promise, we are shipping your order as fast as we can, but here are some things you need to know about our shipping policy.

When will my order ship?
In Stock Orders
We normally ship in-stock orders within 24hrs. We can’t ship on weekends, so if you order on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, your order will ship on Monday. During holidays and big sales, please allow an extra day or two for shipping.
Out of Stock Orders
If your items are out of stock, they will show out of stock on the website and in your order confirmations. You will also see an estimated ship time. We will email you with additional details if they are available, so don’t forget to check your inbox.
How long will my order take to reach me?
Our store is located in the beautiful (and remote) state of Maine. Shipping will usually take 1-6 business days depending on your proximity to us. We ship by priority mail and FedEx. Priority mail usually takes 2 to 3 days (but there is no guarantee). Please see the maps below for Federal Express transit times:

Is shipping really free?
Pretty much. We offer free shipping on orders over$100 as long as the order is shipping within the continental United States to a physical address (unfortunately, we have to charge shipping to PO Boxes, Hawaii and Alaska and out side of US).
Unfortunately, we do have to exclude a few product categories from our free shipping policy.
Free Shipping Exclusions:
- Pet food
- Cat litter
- Manufacturer's Closeouts unless you order $100 or more in other qualifying products
- Shavings and small animal bedding
- Liquids over 32oz
- Consignment saddles
- Whips over 36 inches
- Oversized items such as muck buckets, water tubs, mounting blocks, saddle racks.
- Burlingham sports items are shipped from a separate warehouse and have separate shipping policies. Burlingham Sports items over $60 ship free. However, non-Burlingham items on the same order are subject to the $100 shipping rule (i.e. their value must be over $100 for free shipping).
- Items being shipped to a PO box, unless it is very small
How much will I pay for shipping if my order is under $100 or doesn't qualify for free shipping?
Well, this will depend on what you order. To get a quote, simply add the items you wish to purchase to your cart. In your shopping cart, enter your state and zip code to receive a shipping and tax estimate. Don't worry, unless you live in Maine or will have a Burlingham Sports item shipped to a California address, there will be no tax.
Can I expedite my order? I need it yesterday!
Both the website and our customer service team can offer you expedited shipping options. Expedited shipping is at the cost of the buyer.
Please remember that website orders ship within 24hrs. If you order on the website and require next day air, you may not receive your order the following day.Also remember that next day shipping excludes weekends and holidays.When using expedited shipping, each day is a full 24 hours and excludes weekends and holidays, so if you ordered 2nd day delivery and your order went out on Friday, you would receive your order on Tuesday. (Friday to Monday is one day, and Monday to Tuesday is two days).
If you absolutely need your order the very next day, please call customer service at 877-322-7387 to place an order over the phone or to alert them to your online order. We cannot ship out any expedited shipments after 3pm EST, so orders should be placed early in the day.
If I order in-stock and out-of-stock items, will you ship the available items now?
This is a tough question to answer. We leave this at the discretion of the customer service reps who process the orders. In general, if you place an order that just clears the $100 mark and there are out of stock items, we will wait for the backordered items to arrive and ship the order in one complete shipment. If we feel that the backordered item will take more than a few days to arrive to us, we may choose to ship the in-stock items and then ship the backordered items when they are available.
If you don’t want to wait a few days, you can request that the order be split and pay a fee of $6.95 to cover the extra shipping.
If the in-stock portion of the order is over $100, we will normally ship those items and send the backordered item when it arrives.
We understand that there are items that you need right away, so call us or send an email if there are time constraints on your order and we will do our best to get it to you in time. Sometimes we can have out of stock items drop shipped from our vendors if you are in a big hurry.
Will I need to be home to sign for the package?
Not necessarily. We only put a signature requirement on your package if it is valued at over $350. If you do not want a signature required, we will ask that you request this in writing. If you do not sign for your package and it is lost or stolen, you will assume all responsibility and you may not be able to obtain a replacement.
Rarely, your delivery driver will choose not to leave your package if they feel that it is unsafe. In this case, they will leave you a notice as well as updating the tracking information. You can normally call to schedule a new delivery or pickup. Please call us if you need assistance.
How will I know when my order ships? Will I get tracking information?
We will send you an email when your order ships and a second email with your tracking information. Your tracking number won’t work until the package is scanned at the processing facility, so please wait 12 to 24 hours before trying to track your package.
Do you offer International shipping?
Yes! We have partnered wtih Global Shopex to ship all over the world! To ship Internationally, please click the International Checkout button on the Shopping Cart page (note - you cannot checkout internationally from checkout page). You will have the option of prepaying duties and seeing the costs in your home currency.
