Herm Sprenger Wilcox Hoyos Sensogan Ultra D-Ring

Herm Sprenger WH Ultra D-Ring Snaffle Bit was developed by Lisa Wilcox and Ernst Hoyos together with Sprenger. This double jointed bit features a unique roller in the center section which provides gentle stimulation to the tongue and encourages chewing and salivation leading to better acceptance of the bit.

Herm Sprenger's sensogan metal is the newest addition to the Sprenger line and is an improvement on the now classic aurigan metal. Sensogan has been developed specifically for use in bits. It has less copper than aurigan and the addition of manganese means that the metal will oxidize more slowly leading to a milder flavor and more controlled release of the copper. This bit may benefit horses who over salivate and does have a different flavor than aurigan. It will also keep it's color longer due to the slow oxidation. Sensogan is approved by both the USDF and FEI.

The D-Ring snaffle won't pull through the mouth, making it a good choice for horses who have difficulty turning. The D ring is also a more stable cheek allowing more direct control from the rein to the mouthpiece.
