Kincade Crupper

The Kincade Crupper helps to prevent the saddle slipping forward into a dangerous position. On some horses, the saddle can slide forward to the point that, when their head is lowered, the saddle and rider can actually fall over the neck and onto the ground. The Kincade crupper attaches the back of the saddle to the horse's tail to prevent this from occuring.
