Korsteel Corkscrew Full Cheek Snaffle Bit

The Korsteel Corkscrew Full Cheek Snaffle can be a useful tool for horses who tend to be hard on the bit making them difficult to stop and steer. This bit can be useful for hard mouthed horses as it creates many small pressure point along the bars, lips and tongue which can cause the horse to be more reactive. The horse is also less likely to lean against all of these small points of the corkscrew than he would be against a solid, smooth bit. The full cheek can be used with or without bit keepers but will be more stable with the keepers. For safety, bit keepers are recommended as they secure the upper arm of the bit and can help prevent the cheeks from catching on fences, stirrups or other equipment should the horse scratch or bite at a fly.

This bit is more severe than a slow twist, but milder than a twisted wire snaffle.
