Nunn Finer Rolled Leather Lip Strap is made of premium leather with a leather loop at one end and a buckle at the other for attachment to your pelham or curb bit.

Lip straps are recommended for use with all bits with a curb chain. The strap keeps the curb chain in steady position and keeps it with the bit should it come out of the hooks. It also prevents the shafts from rotating too far forward where they could possible become stuck in the horse's lip or teeth, preventing a dangerous situation where the horse could panic.
