The T3 Matrix Coolback Ergonomic Dressage Half Pad with Pro-Impact Inserts is designed to protect and support your horse's back muscles without interfering with performance. The elongated front of the half pad extends over the shoulder muscle instead of bisecting it to allow the muscle freer range of motion. The top is a linear quilt of ETC and high quality, breathable batting. ETC is a breathable, non-slip fabric that keeps your saddle securely positioned, but is also anti-friction to avoid heat buildup. Typical non-slip materials like rubber scrims use friction for grip which creates heat and can lead to galling. The linear quilt maintains the batting loft for maximum breathability and heat dispersal.

• Coolback fleece is 100% polyester originally designed to replace Sheepskin in hospitals, then specifically formulated for the rigors of equestrian use. This orthopedic 1" fleece offers superior pressure relief and weight distribution, as well as rapid heat dispersal and breathability. The pile is resilient and rebounds after every washing. Poron XRD» is an ultra-light and ultra-thin layer (5mm) of high density open cell foam that absorbs 90% of the energy from impact. It protects the horse's back muscles from the impact of the saddle and minimizes the energy bounce back that the rider experiences when landing in the saddle, allowing for a more secure seat. Superior to heavier and thicker foams and gels, the XRD is perforated for additional breathability. Treated with Microban.
